Wick were welcomed to the hallowed Newbridge fields for the return game against a Bridgend select XI on Sunday.
Not a full match report unfortunately but it was an action packed match with multiple direct hit run outs, controversial snickometer calls, misjudged diving for catches and a boundary bigger than the rhino enclosure at Folly farm.
Ultimately Bridgend where victorious as they rattled off the 110 run target Wick had set with plenty of overs and wickets to spare. Do not fear; there was the customary Kenny wicket, which he had pre-celebrated during the break with a warm can of Strongbow haze he found in his cricket bag.
A great place to play cricket and to have a post match beer in front of the clubhouse on a sunny afternoon. Thanks again to Wayne and the team for hosting.
