What a season it’s been…
15 matches, 9 wins, 4 losses, 1 tie, 1 abandoned… and UNBEATEN on our Home turf! Winning 60% of our games – this is definitely a season to be written in stone.
We wrapped things up in true Wick style at our Prize Giving – plenty of laughter (Amal was early!) a few emotional moments (Gutsy when he didn’t win the Teflon Trophy for the 2nd year running), and one very unexpected (but delicious) surprise cake courtesy of Emily from The Star Inn, Wick
. Cheers Emily – you really have looked after us this season. Thank you for the post match teas and always making us feel so welcome.
Trophy Winners 2025:
Most Improved Player: Owen Thomas – proof that turning up early and listening occasionally really does pay off.
Clubman of the Year: Kenny Thomas – because every club needs someone to mow the pitch, paint the lines, and still find time to moan about the umpire (and the captain!) He truly is one of a kind.
Players’ Player Award: Steve Collins – the man, the myth, the back lift!

We have enjoyed another season in collaboration with Vale Cricket Club and it’s been wonderful to see the Green so busy with cricket. Thank you Gareth Andrews for your continued support.

And finally, to the Wick community, who cheer us on from the boundary or from our famous match reports (and occasionally retrieve balls from their gardens) – we couldn’t do it without you.
